It was nice to be back in the CreativeLive studios again for #PhotoshopWeek to assist with an ambitious goal of projecting seamless video on a curved scrim – using dual Panasonic PTD-5500 projectors. Many newer projectors have complex warping and geometric correction functions, but not these ones. For budget’s sake we were at the whim of proper lensing, projector placement, and outputting pre-warped graphics. Control was set up by CreativeLive on a single MacBook Pro laptop running MadMapper, which allowed the two projector feeds to be mapped digitally before the signal was sent to the projectors.
