POSITION TITLE

AV Technician

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Organize equipment, test, and prep gear loads for shows.
  • Safely load and drive vehicles between shops and event locations.
  • Perform onsite setup and strike of systems.
  • Perform operating technician duties. 
  • Light systems administration with rental production software.
  • Opportunities for training and advancement. 

POSITION SPECIFICS

  • Guaranteed 20 hours per week with the potential of up to 50 hours per week.
  • Fluctuating calendar, scheduled in advance.
  • 30-day preliminary contract.
  • Starting immediately.
  • Pay Rate: $25/hr, paid twice monthly

A TEP Technician is part of our group of onsite event techs for audio, video, lighting, staging, and usually a mix of all disciplines. Executing productions of all sizes, this position will be working both in teams and individually for setups, operation, and show strike. The position also includes performing logistics, equipment maintenance, research, and some rental systems administration. Work will be performed remotely, on location, and at the company shop. The ability to communicate professionally with staff, venues, vendors, and clients is expected at all times. AV Technicians load and drive large vehicles, cargo vans, and box trucks.

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years of event audiovisual experience
  • Proficiency in the operation of audio, video, and lighting equipment.
  • Familiarity with industry practices, crew calls, and production workflows.
  • Experience safely driving box trucks and cargo vans with a clean driving record.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Basic warehousing skills to manage gear peps in and out.
  • Equipment testing, cable crimping, and soldering experience.
  • Professional demeanor and pride in their work.
  • Ready to get into the shop and begin taking AV calls immediately!

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Manage, design, and create media for productions.
  • Processing and editing of various file types.
  • End-to-end filming and editing of video projects.
  • Image enhancement, compositing, and layout design.
  • Motion graphics and 3D modeling.
  • Website creation and content integrations.
  • Presentation formatting and content integrations. 
  • Opportunities for FT work and advancement.

  • Hours per project fluctuate based on project scope.

TEP is looking to create a pool of Media Specialists, possibly with differing skill sets, that we can source on a project-by-project basis to further serve our clients. We intend on hiring contractors immediately with the goal of this position becoming full-time based on future growth. By offering customized production of content and media, we not only raise the bar in production value for our clients, but we gain a better ability to control a successful outcome for them as well. Work will be performed remotely using systems and software owned by the contractor. Executing projects of all sizes, this position will be working individually most of the time with the potential to be working in a team to accomplish complex asset management schedules. The ability to communicate timely and professionally with staff and clients is expected at all times. 

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience creating multimedia projects
  • Proficiency in video, graphics, sound, web, and presentation production
  • Broad knowledge of the entire Adobe software suite 
  • Experience in CAD, Maya, or other 3D modeling software
  • Programming experience is a huge plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

  


INTERNSHIPS


POSITION TITLE

Production Assistant Internship

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Assist Production Managers in realizing objectives and fulfilling requirements
  • Organize work collaboratively to meet specifications and deadlines
  • Monitor the production process to resolve issues ahead of time
  • Input and synchronize information from rental management software to other systems. 
  • Coordinate event logistics
  • Administer staff schedules
  • Perform administrative work (phones, paperwork, etc.)
  • Undertake errands as assigned
  • Opportunities for training and advancement

POSITION SPECIFICS

  • Part-Time 20 hours per week
  • Weekday hours scheduled in advance
  • Starting immediately
  • Pay Rate: $15/hr, paid twice monthly

We are looking for a competent Production Assistant to support the administrative aspects of our events. TEP staff, managers, and crew count on up-to-date information for various crucial tasks, from organizing logistics to documentation, communications, and onsite coordination. High energy and commitment are essential to proving yourself and working your way up from this position. The goal is to ensure the production process runs smoothly and problem-free. If you are a restless individual who can multi-task, solve problems and do things pro-actively you will quickly become invaluable.

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Passion for the production and events industry
  • Knowledge of industry terminology
  • Computer savvy, with knowledge of design software and multimedia a huge plus
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking ability
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail synchronizing information acrss systems
  • A team player with great communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant training or industry experience will be an advantage
